The Yang Slinger: A Plea

A small thing.

I’m taking this week off to spend time with my family—and along with wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving weekend and holiday season, I’d like to make a (humble) request …

So I’ve been told by a lot of folks that this substack feels like a journalism guidebook/lesson plan. And, truly, that’s the goal. I want it to be fun, informative, funky, interesting, inspiring

That said—it takes a lot of time. So I’m using today’s space to (hopefully not rudely) ask people to consider a paid subscription. ALL the money I make from this endeavor goes into my book research bills. Which are substantial.

So, if nothing else, you’d be reading about journalism and supporting it.

I know these are hard times for many—so if it’s not possible, obviously keep reading and enjoying.
