Great stuff....I will look out for you in that episode, Jeff. Having been on various movie and TV show sets for over 30 years [as a visitor], I can attest to the truth that the process of shooting a scene is decidedly unglamorous and repetitive. When Bonnie Hunt directed me and my wife for a scene with Minnie Driver in "Return To Me," in which we (me and my wife) smooched take after take, I jokingly asked Bonnie toward the end of it all, "What's my motivation?"

Bonnie's retort was spot-on: "Not to sleep on the couch tonight!"

I was underemployed for a about 1.5 years in 2015-16 and did a lot of extra/background work on films/shows shot in NOLA. One thing it taught me is how many people have to work their asses off to make even the most mundane scene in the most mediocre movie.

As for the food, I worked 1.5 weeks as a control room worker in Jurassic World. No lines but there weren't many of us, so we got the same food the cast got. Our running joke was there would be continuity problems b/c at the end of the 1.5 weeks we were probably all like 30 pounds heavier.

I had forgotten the story about Jack Hoffman until I read the first few paragraphs. He is the picture of health in the photos at the end. Hard to believe that he he going through so much.
