I was raised to hate the nut graf. H-a-t-e it. But with age and experience, I'm no longer entirely sure where I stand. So let's grab a bowl of cashews and discuss.
Nut graf -- the more I read your complaints/praise about it, the more I knew that it is indeed a key ally. It has already reinvigorated my too-often meandering prose. Thanks for the nutty insights!
I'm with John on enjoying the Cookie Rojas story. He was sort of the Royals version of Horace Clarke.
As for Donald Trump, I've seen this excellent rule of thumb, and it's never let me down: if in his story, anyone calls him "sir," it is 100% fictitious.
I always enjoy the old articles/stories that you pull out from nowhere. I have always had a thing for those stories like the one on Cookie Rojas, and I really liked this one. Thank you.
